"One of things that makes us portuguese is the fact that we “like” to hold to the negative side of things. Even in our best moments we can’t prevent thinking “what if this had gone wrong?”, or “what it things were different?”. When some one succeeds in something, there’s always someone saying a “but…”. We are always ready to criticize the good things of life, or fear for their finish. The ghost is always there. We call it “national negativism”.
I don’t consider myself a negative person. But sometimes I can’t do nothing about being portuguese. Specially when something happens in my life. Something so good that I wonder what I’ve done to deserve it. And because I can’t find the reason I tend to think that Someone got distracted when making this happen in my life or placed someone on my train. Then the “ghost” of losing that something or that person leaving my train, wakes up with me sometimes."

Pedro obrigado pela referência (me blushing)
